Sarstedt’s capillary tubes streamline the collection of small blood samples. When combined with Instech Vascular Access Buttons™ or PinPorts™ they can be part of a significant refinement in rodent blood collection.
Capillary / dispensing tubes (Minivette POCT) collect precise 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200µL samples, with or without an anticoagulant, which are then easily transferred for analysis without a syringe.
The PNP3MS connector easily presses onto the tubes and then punctures the small septum on Vascular Access Buttons™ and PinPorts™ to draw up the sample. You can take samples directly from a catheterized animal, or for completely hands off sampling, at the top of the cage. Arterial pressure is required for best results (for example, from a carotid artery catheterization).
